1. Description of the service
Doculy is a mobile app that provides camera-based document scanning, automatic edge detection, cropping and rotation, color modes (Color / Grayscale / Black & White / Photo), OCR (printed and handwritten text recognition), eSign (adding a signature to a document) and PDF/JPG export. All processing runs on your device; your documents are stored on your device.
2. Eligibility and account
To use the app you must have the legal capacity to enter into a contract in your country. Signing in with Apple or Google is optional and is for authentication only; it does not provide cloud sync. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
3. Subscriptions, trial and payments
Doculy's core features require a subscription. New users are offered a 3-day free trial; at the end of the trial a weekly subscription begins automatically (the current price for your store and region is shown on the purchase screen).
- Payments are charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account.
- If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged.
- Any unused portion of a trial is forfeited when you move to a paid subscription.
4. Renewal and cancellation
The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the renewal fee is charged within that window. You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your device's App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are subject to the policies of the respective store.
5. Acceptable use
When using the app, you agree to:
- Only scan/process documents you have the right to use.
- Not use the app for unlawful, fraudulent or rights-infringing purposes.
- Not reverse engineer, copy or distribute the app without authorization.
- Not attempt to compromise the security or integrity of the service.
6. Your content and responsibility
All documents you scan and content you create belong to you and stay on your device. Backing up, the accuracy and the legality of this content are your responsibility. Text extracted with OCR and automated processing may not always be 100% accurate; for important documents we recommend you review the results.
7. Intellectual property
The Doculy app, its trademarks, logos, interface and software belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. These Terms grant you only a personal, non-transferable and non-exclusive right to use the app; they grant no other rights in the app.
8. Third-party services
The app uses third-party services such as the Apple App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat and anonymous analytics. These services have their own terms and privacy policies. When you share a document, the content becomes subject to the terms of the service you select.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, and do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages (including data loss or loss of profit). Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. You may end your use at any time by removing the app from your device. Termination does not affect provisions that by their nature should survive.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will notify you within the app or on this page. Continuing to use the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Country/State]. The [competent courts] shall have jurisdiction over disputes. Update these fields before publishing.
