Privacy Policy

Summary: Doculy does not use cloud sync. Your documents, images, OCR text and signatures are stored only on your device and are not seen or collected by us.

1. What we do and don't collect

What we do not collect:

This content is processed and stored only on your device; it is not transmitted to us.

Limited data we may process:

2. Your document data stays on your device

Doculy is a "local-only" app. Scanning, cropping, applying color modes, OCR text recognition and signing all happen on your device, offline. No process — including the OCR engine — sends your document content to the internet. Your documents are kept in the app's storage on your device; they do not leave it unless you choose to share them.

When you send a document through the system share sheet (email, messaging, a cloud drive, etc.), that content is transferred to the app/service you select and is then governed by that service's privacy policy.

3. Permissions

Doculy only requests the permissions it needs to function:

You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.

4. Third-party services

Doculy may use the following services for limited purposes:

These providers only process the data needed for their function and have no access to your document content.

5. Subscriptions and payments

Doculy offers a 3-day free trial followed by a weekly subscription. Payments are processed by Apple or Google; we never see or store your card details. Your subscription status is verified through RevenueCat to unlock features. Billing, renewals and cancellations are managed in the account settings of the respective store.

6. Tracking transparency (ATT)

On iOS, the app may request tracking permission under the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. All core features of Doculy work even if you decline. If you decline, no cross-device tracking identifiers are used.

7. Data retention and deletion

Your documents remain on your device until you delete them. Deleting a document or folder within the app removes it from your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all document data stored on the device. Anonymous analytics data is retained in aggregate form according to the provider's retention periods.

8. Children's privacy

Doculy is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from this age group.

9. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete and object to the processing of your data. Because your document data lives on your device, you are in direct control of it (deletion, export, etc.). For requests regarding anonymous data or your account identity, you can contact us (section 11).

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. For material changes we will notify you within the app or on this page. The current version is always available here; check the "Last updated" date at the top.
